Four old friends from film school reunite to make an overly-ambitious movie together in the California desert. But what they don’t know is that the group’s bitter LA screenwriter, Micah, is actually making a tell-all exploitive documentary about their supposed failed relationships. Once the truth behind cameraman Tommy's "behind the scenes" emerges, they'll have to decide what's most important: Micah's fake movie, Tommy's real movie, or their friendships.
